Conclusion

What a great experience has given me this job!. It is a shame that culminates with this. The truth is that it has helped me expand my skills in this language. Each of the subjects of which I had to write during these weeks were incredibly amazing. I hope you enjoyed the things I wrote and it has been very useful. Week #10: World

Topic: The effect of the climate changes and global warming on plants.

We know that climatic changes and global warming threaten our lives day after day. Global warming is destroying everything and also is altering the climate around us causing much damage. We humans depend on plants to survive and it is important to observe how these changes can damage them.

Climate change is having an impact on many of the plants, causing some to adapt, conform or even disappear completely. These are the most that are affected because can not move in the same way that animals. These climate changes gives to the plants growth and development an environment of instability. They are directly dependent on climate, because they live on account of the photosynthetic activity of light, availability of CO2 and water. The plants require specific conditions to grow and develop properly but if the place where they are, not meet their needs, can cause them great harm. Excessive rainfall due to storms and hurricanes, times of low temperatures or drought, the global warming caused by the same human beings, among other factors, are some of the changes that may directly affect the growing plants. For example, soil type also impacts the types of plants that grow. If the ground is dusty and dry, surely will have a particular type of plants and it is quite possible that only develops vegetation during some months of the year. If, however, the soil is rich and fertile, their will be differents species in most of the year. Some examples of the problems that cause climate change are declining areas for cultivation, unexpected periods of sowing and reaping, changes in productivity, among others.

On the other hand, global warming has increased over time so it can be a great threat to all life on earth. This increase in temperature is a big danger to plants because it can cause great times of drought and therefore can dehydrate over time. If no water, there will be no plant growth, although there is much CO2 (carbon dioxide), natural nutrients, minerals and good temperatures. If no water, the plants do not grow. The CO2 production helps to improve, but water affects plant growth completely. The global warming causes deserts expand with time. Plants also change to adapt to different conditions and, therefore, exists the possibility that some plant species develop deep roots and small leaves that can store water to live in extreme arid conditions such as cacti. Moreover, this increase in temperature affects the seasons and, therefore, affects vegetation.

To conclude, I am not a botanist but I have a good knowledge about plants. We do not have to know a lot about plants to know their importance. I know there are more harmful effects on plants than those mentioned. We have to become aware and start creating new measures to protect nature. The climate changes and the global warming are continuously increasing and we must be prepared. Let's cooperate with taking care of the environment.

Week #9: Education

Topic: The role of home as first base of education.

The education that our children receive is slowly declining. The different education systems do everything possible to help students. Sadly, we see how the scholar desertion is increasing more and more. We must recognize that this situation is very alarming because the future depends on the new generation. The status of the behavior of the majority of students in schools and universities of Puerto Rico is not very positive. We see how the lack of values gradually ruins the future of many students. We see children and youth smoking, drinking, fighting, having sex and doing many other things. Most people attribute the fault to the education system. The truth is that the first strong base of education is the house.

We have heard that in past the education at home was very strict. Children and young people tended to be more respectful. Gratitude, courtesy, welcome and many others values were inculcated. As time passed, these values were disappearing. Today, the form of raise has changed a lot. Lack of love, attention and understanding are the main triggers that cause many people take the wrong path. The most common case is that of children from young parents because most of these parents are not sufficiently mature to educate properly. Most children and young people, who receive a good education at home, show they go well in their studies.

To conclude, the education that provide schools and universities helps to reinforce the lessons and values that were granted at home. You cannot blame the education system for errors we commit when breeding. It is important to remember that education is like the tree growth, it begins to grow from the roots.

Week #8: Movies

Topic: Superhereos

We know that the vast majority of people love to watch movies and much more when they enjoy a rich bag of popcorn. Many prefer to go to the movie theater while others prefer to rent them for viewing in the comfort of the home. One day we want to see a movie of action but in others we simply want to share with our couples a romantic movie. Usually movies save us from the boring days.

There are genres of films for all kinds of people. There are movies of mystery, comedy, science fiction, animation, suspense, action and many other types but when it comes to kids probably we have to refer to the superheroes movies. Over the years, the superheroes have boomed on television. Lovers to such films increased significantly when the films were no longer just for kids. These are of action but also contend parts of drama and comedy. The premiere of the movie "The Avengers" and the television series, Arrow, The Flash and Agents of Shield, are ones of the best ideas created. These are absolutely amazing.

My attraction to this type of movies began when I was a child. The premiere of the Spiderman movie was what launched my great admiration. My favorite superheroes are Spiderman, Ironman, Captain America and the superheroes of the series of DC Comics, Arrow and Flash. I am currently awaiting the new release of "The Avengers 2".

To conclude, I hope the producers added Spiderman to the second film of "The Avengers". It would be more exciting.

Week #7: A Celebrity

Topic: Lionel Messi: "A Great Role Model"

It started when I was a kid. I had in life a lot of options to choose and develop. However, my attention was captured by two of these: music and sports. I clarify that my passion is singing but the sport is one of them. When I speak of sport, I refer to football. Like most people, I have an idol that I admire. I know there are and have been a lot of greats football star like Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Maradona and Ronaldinho but my favorite celebrity is Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi, plus a great player, represents to me faith. First of all, in the sport of football, Messi has broken off all social schemes. When it started, people did not believe it would be good. "Rest assured, one day going to be taller than Maradona, I do not know if better but higher," promised the Argentine endocrinologist Diego Schwarzstein to a small and anonymous Lionel Messi in 1998 when he was diagnosed with a disease that risked his dream being a fabulist. He was suffering from a hormonal deficiency that did not allow it to continue growing. The flea, as people affectionately called him, just knew he wanted to be the best player in the world. His treatment consisted restore him, in exact time, the growth hormones that missing him during the growth stage that ended at age 16.Of every twenty thousand children, only one acquires this condition. Unfortunately, Messi was that child. His great desire to be a footballer was what led him to fame. Right now, for me, he is the greatest player in the history of football because he equaled and even surpassed the great Maradona. Best of all is that he keeps breaking records and writing their own history. This story is not over yet because recently news about Messi was revealed. In addition to suffering from a hormonal deficit, Lionel suffers from Asperger Syndrome, also known as factory of geniuses. This condition is recognized because Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton were suffering from it. Among its features are the difficulties in socializing, repetitive behaviors and the tendency to interests that could be considered strange. These are some of the reasons why Messi is an example to follow because he was set at a goal and never got tired until achieve it.

To conclude, we should see Messi as an example. We cease to follow our dreams for little things. From today on, my goal will be to achieve everything I want to do in the future

Week #6: Media

Topic: The internet and its changes

A few years ago, the time was used to perform the remaining tasks. The world walked slower because there was no need to rush. There was time for all, for the family, friends and for oneself. People depended on themselves to learn and do their things. There was nothing that could do it all for us and, because of that, the people were much smarter. Everything changed when one of the greatest inventions of human beings came to light, the internet.

                                                                                      

The internet is in everywhere, in photos, news, jobs, history and in other things because we use it for everything. We even use the internet to learn how do to like it a person. We do not let our intellect develops. Sadly, every generation is going backward and not forward. Obviously, the internet is not completely bad for humans. There are advantages that we can get from it. If we use it wisely, we can use it to learn things necessary for life. The internet has made many things better like making processes more efficient, simplifying the searching of information, the distance communication in real time, and has saved the cost of sending messages. The big problem is that the internet is a "parasite" that steals our time. We have created a dependence which has caused us to neglect our personal and professional things. How much would you spend the internet daily? Probably we spend a total of 5 hours. This is the average time that we lose every day. We walk, study, talk, eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, sleep and even we think using the internet. This separates us from the real world causing us to live in a cyber-world.

In conclusion, like everything, there are good things and bad things. We just have to balance our use of the internet to make it beneficial in our lives. Misuse of this can damage our lives forever.

Week #5: Marriage

Topic: My wedding plans

Marriage is one of the most beautiful blessings that exist. Sadly, nowadays marriage is like most dating relationships, temporary. In past, it had a special meaning and was one of the most desired things. Its meaning goes beyond of put a simple ring on the hand of a person. The ring is just a symbol of an unbreakable promise. Marriage is grow together as a couple. Is share everything we are and have. We stopped being two different people to become one. From marriage, dreams, achievements, tears, smiles, air, time and space become one. Marriage is something you feel, not a tradition.

Probably many persons will say I'm crazy or that I am not aware of what I do. A few months ago, I proposed the idea of marriage to my girlfriend for reasons that many will not understand but the most important is that both are aware of what we want. Why God sent us to life? I'm sure it was not to live an endless routine. I believe and I have faith that God sent us to save our lives. We are here for a definite time and we must be aware that each passing day is a lost day if we do anything. God made the man and the woman to come together and be one. I want to work in the way of life but not alone. I want to walk hand in hand with the person who completes my life. Her name is Wexly Emilie and I say it with security. Feelings are individual and we came to this life without knowing anything. We cannot let other people decide and choose for us because they are not within us to know what we feel. I am 19 years old and my age does not define my maturity. Nowadays a child can be equally or more mature than an adult. The maturity comes from wisdom and wisdom is a gift from God. I am very aware of what I want and is to get married within a year. I want to go forward with her and say at the end of the road that was difficult but the most important is that we did it together. In this way, life will become more valuable as they are the memories and people who give it value. Nobody will destroy my dream and change my opinion. My heart beats and no one can tell it to stop. I love with all my strength the person that one day accepted walk with me. It is she who gives me strength and motivates me to fight every day. Lose her became my greatest fear since the first day I saw her. Sometimes I think how would be my life without her and suddenly tears fall and my heart begins to collapse. Is not that love? I could live if it disappeared the air because she would be the oxygen that I would need to breathe. I could see nature even if there no light because she would light my way. I can dream and fight because she gave me the desire to do it. She is the unmoved engine, that one that is in my center and turns my life on.

Finally, I do not know how long it will take me and all the sacrifices I have to do. I just know that I cannot wait for someone to come and help me fulfill my dream. I have to start slowly and build it and I'll do it even if I have to do it alone. I do not have much to go on but I have the help and blessing of God and that's more than enough. If you're reading this, you know what I think of marriage but mostly what I think of life.

Week #4: Religion

Topic: Controversies with the Virgin Mary

We know that, long ago, God sent his only son to save us from sin. The Angel Gabriel announced to a young woman that she was going to give birth a son who would call Jesus Christ. This woman was cleansed of the original sin in order to be a temple and a cot for the child of God. She has been the only woman capable of giving birth to a child as a virgin. She raised and educated our Lord Jesus Christ with a humble and hardworking carpenter named Joseph who accompanied her until the day of his death. We know that Jesus was crucified and buried, and ascended into heaven on the third day after his death. Today, we praise and glorify him because he is life, he is light and salvation.

Many protestant religions launch comments about the catholic religion and their beliefs. One of the most controversial issues is the supposed "worship" to the Virgin Mary. We the catholic christians do not worship the Virgin Mary; we venerate the great person she was in life. Protestants do not understand our reasons and only dedicated to opine. Why we pray to Mary? She is one of the most important figures in christianity and no wonder since she was the selected woman to give birth to the savior. She is the soul mother of all life on earth since there is no woman more pure than she. Like any mom, she was there with her son all the time. She suffered and accepted the death of her son with much pain. "When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved, he said to his mother, Woman, behold your son. Then he said to the disciple, Behold thy mother; and from that hour the disciple took her into his home "(John 9, 26-27). We are those children that Jesus left his mother. Juan was representing us at that time and are the words of Jesus that tells us: love her, respect her and take care of her because she is your mother. We must open our hearts and receive her in our lives. That's what we catholics do: give honor to whom honor is due. We not stand out the participation of an athlete for his great performance? So how we will not stand out the person who charged the son of God for 9 months?

The biggest controversy on this subject is the prayer of Hail Mary. "Hail Mary full of grace you the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. "What's wrong with this prayer? Is it hard to understand? In this prayer we are only venerating and asking for their intersection. "Full of grace, the Lord is with you." Did not he's telling the truth? Blessed is she who was blessed to be the mother of Jesus Christ.

In conclusion, it is time to open their eyes and begin to understand the beliefs of catholics. We recognize that the mother of the mothers exists, one that will never fail us or missing. Let's give it the value it deserves and ask her to present us before God when He comes to judge the world by fire.

Week #3: War

Topic: Conflict of war between the United States and the Islamic State

The consequences of a war, in addition to the sadness of the large number of deaths, go from the disappearance of towns and cities to economic damage and the destruction of the environment. Many people agree that wars bring peace but the truth is that only make things worse. You can hurt a person and believe that everything ended but the truth is that the wounds do not heal and there will always be an opportunity to return the stab. With the countries also happens the same because the past actions often affect the future.

We are very concerned because a possible war can be happen. Nowadays, one of the biggest conflicts are the problems between the United States and the Islamic State (IS). The latest new was the American attack on the Islamic state in Syria with more than 150 bombs. The strengthening of the IS and its actions have forced to act the current president, Barack Obama. Recently, we live the beheadings of the Americans journalists by the Islamic State. The reporter James Foley had been abducted in Syria on 22 November 2012. On August nineteen of this year, a video was broadcast through jihadist forums where is presented the decapitation of the journalist. After the death of Foley, emerged a new video which shows the beheading of journalist Steven Sotloff. "In the same way that your missiles continue harming our people, our knife continue cutting the neck of your people" said the militant jihadist. After confirmation of the video, Obama said that his objetive is destroy the Islamic State to end with the threat against Iraq, the region and the United States.

I disagree with the actions of Obama because I do not think that a war will bring peace. United States should withdraw from the Islamic state and avoid war. The humans do not have the power to say who should live or die. Anyway, this war just will cause a bigger war. You have to be prepared to any situation.

Week #2: Death

Topic: The existence of spirits.

The subject of death is one of the most chilling we can hear. At some point we have all feared of death. Is there something beyond death? What will become of our souls? Many people have asked these questions. There is something strongly related to death that many would like to know and is about the existence of spirits. Are there really spirits?

We live in a world full of uncertainties and unanswered questions. We have seen many cases where spirits are presented. Are these real or just a figment of psychosis? Are they good or bad spirits? Looking at it from a christian point, if God has a legacy of good angels, also the evil has his army. There are souls who walk in limbo trying to find peace and others that maybe are trying to solve some issues. The truth is that death has many questions that leave us with doubt. Many times we feel footsteps, voices, shadows, among other things, but we see nothing. I personally had a frightening experience and I can say that I firmly believe that we are not alone, there are more. Being alone with a person and suddenly the door closes and something take control of her body is not easy. I reserve my personal experience but I'm sure many people, like me, have lived a moment of terror in their lives.

Finally, it is always good to keep in mind that we are not alone. In this way we prepare a little for any situation.

Week #1: Happiness

Topic: My loved ones

Many times when we see a wealthy person, we say: "Damn it! With all the things that he has, I would be happy". Happiness does not always come from material things. Sometimes just involves feelings. We lose time searching happiness in the wrong place because we do not stop to look at what really makes us happy. I am a very happy person but not for what I am. I do not have much money or a fancy car and a big house. The reality is that I am happy because I have great human beings in my life. My happiness is based on my family and my girlfriend.

My father and my mother, my two older brothers, Eduardo and Orlando, my little sister, Cristina, and my beautiful girlfriend, Wexly Emilie, are everything for me. They are the ones that complete my life and define who I am. My parents gave me love, instilled me values​​ and they taught me the true meaning of life from child. In addition to my parents, my brothers have been my company through the years. It is with them that I have lived most of the best moments of my life. On the other hand, my girlfriend was the one who ended breaking my happiness meter. She came into my life on April 12, 2013. Since that day, I could only feel complete and loved. She came to stay until the end. It is who I share day by day all that I have and what I am.

To conclude, if I were to explain what means happiness to me, I just would say: my family and her.
